Perhaps my English is off, but take it as I mean it. <br /><br />Posting what was posted (by Anonymous 2) was not only imprudent, but seemed clearly to be threatening, i.e. not an acceptable manner of public engagement. <br /><br />Honestly, if you (Anonymous 1 and 2 and/or others) think Fr. Z's blog to be reeking of an "odd traditionalist hubris" or worse, I wouldn't mind hearing why. But threatening gestures are not acceptable. <br /><br />And please address me as Mr. Poole, Sir, or even just Andrew. Z's unexpected v...One unexpected benefit to Fr. Z's unexpected visit was that he pulled a book out of our Augustine section that he recommended we destroy. There is a certain bookcase on the stairway to the basement at Loome with a certain few books that have been "screwed" to it. It's a bit like the Loome wall of shame. This particular Augustine book (not BY Augustine, but about him) may find a permanent resting place on this bookcase, or it may meet a more creative fate.
